With only 3 weeks to go before the big day, the organisators behind the Women’s strike in Iceland on Oct 24th. 2016 contacted Webmom for help. The main target of the work was to put up an information central to mobilize the women of Iceland to march against the gender gap and remind the society of the importance of the labour of women. Icelandic women could on the 24th of October 2016 finish working at 14.38. To reach out to the women we build a Facebook Page, run twitter campaign and Instagram, all connected to the webpage. A Snap-chat channel was created and handed over to the young feminists from the University of Iceland. All in all everything went according to plan, web and digital channels worked as planned.
The website is now dormant and will be until the next strike in 2020. But it had to mentioned here.
